Welcome to the Mill Towns Trail Website

The Mill Towns Trail is a scenic recreational trail currently under development in Southern Minnesota. The trail will link existing trails: the Cannon Valley Trail from Cannon Falls to Red Wing, and the Sakatah Singing Hills Trails between Faribault and Mankato. The Mill Towns theme recognizes the historic mills that were once important to the economy of this area.

Bridge Dedication and Mayor's Ride

The Peggy Prowe bike and pedestrian bridge was dedicated and officially opened on Aug. 15, 2009. A milestone celebration for the Mill Towns Trail and Peggy! Following the bridge dedication, Mayors Mary Rossing (Northfield) and Glenn Switzer (Dundas) led a 12 mile bike tour of public art in the 2 communities.
